Last week I wrote a bit about the new and improved ScrapWalls. I wanted to take a minute to expand a bit on what I think is the most exciting new feature: shape templates.
The old ScrapWalls was a great tool for arranging your digital photos into a shape or design of your choosing. But we heard from a lot of people who said that they wanted to make a collage of say, a sail boat, but just didn’t have the time to arrange and resize all their pictures.
The new templates automatically arrange your photos into a shape of your choosing. And thanks to our auto-placement technology, you can re-arrange and re-size the images in your collage as much as you want without any of the overlap or white space you get in the competitors programs.
Here are a few screenshots of the process.
This is the screen where you choose your template. As you can see, we have a lot of shapes to choose from. There are 25 at the moment, but we are adding more all the time. There is also an option to create a custom design.
Here is a collage I made using the sail boat template, though I probably should have used the mountain template as the pictures I picked were from a recent hiking excursion.
If you’ve got a template suggestion, we’d love to hear it!
